‘Grace and Frankie’ Gets a Season 5 with guest star RuPaul

The fourth season of Grace and Frankie just dropped on Netflix on January 19th but the streamer has already renewed the show for a fifth season to debut in 2019.

RuPaul joins the cast as a guest star in season five as Benjamin Le Day, a “formidable and quick-witted adversary who faces off with Grace and Frankie.”

Grace and Frankie’s third season earned nine major television nominations, the most of any prior season, including Primetime Emmy Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for both Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, a Writers Guild Award nomination, an NAACP Image Award nomination, as well as a Costume Designers Guild and two Makeup and Hairstyling Awards nominations.

About Erik Anderson

Erik blames his mother for his love of all things Oscar, having watched the Academy Awards together since he was in the single digits; making lists, rankings and predictions throughout the show. This led him down the path to obsessing about awards. Much later, he found himself at GoldDerby, led by Tom O’Neill and then migrated over to Oscarwatch (now AwardsDaily), headed up by Sasha Stone before breaking off to create AwardsWatch. He is a member of the International Cinephile Society, GALECA (The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics), the International Press Academy and is the founder/owner of AwardsWatch.
