20th Century FOX has released the first trailer and official poster for BAD TIMES AT THE EL ROYALE, the story of seven strangers who meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, existing right smack on the border where “you have the option of choosing a room in either California or Nevada.” Over the course of one fateful night, secrets are unearthed, and everyone will have a last shot at redemption before everything goes to hell.

Jam-packed with an eclectic, all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart) Emmy winner Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Emmy, Tony and Grammy winner Cynthia Erivo (the upcoming Widows), Dakota Johnson (the Fifty Shades trilogy), Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim: Uprising), Lewis Pullman (Battle of the Sexes), Nick Offerman (TV’s Parks and Recreation) and a very shirtless Chris Hemsworth (Thor, The Avengers) there’s something for everyone in this wickedly fun-looking flick from Oscar-nominated writer/director Drew Goddard (The Martian, The Cabin in the Woods, TV’s Lost and Alias).

Featuring cinematography by two-time Oscar nominee Seamus McGarvey (Atonement, Anna Karenina) and a score by Oscar winner Michael Giacchino (Up), Bad Times at the El Royale will be released by20th Century Fox on October 5th, 2018.

About Erik Anderson

Erik thanks his mother for his love of all things Oscar, having watched the Academy Awards together since he was in the single digits; making lists, rankings and predictions throughout the show. This led him down the path to obsessing about awards. Much later, he found himself at GoldDerby, led by Tom O’Neill and then migrated over to Oscarwatch (now AwardsDaily), headed up by Sasha Stone before breaking off to create AwardsWatch. He is a member of the International Cinephile Society, GALECA (The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics), the International Press Academy and is the founder/owner of AwardsWatch.
