Just watched Guerrilla and now I'm rooting for Freida Pinto, Babou Ceesay and Idris Elba to get nominated!!!!

‘The Keepers’: Netflix Drops Powerful Trailer For Series About Murder Of Baltimore Nun
Netflix just dropped a trailer for its seven-part docuseries The Keepers, which premieres on May 19. In this powerful footage that is sure to grab the same audience from Making a Murderer, the series is about the unsolved murder 40 to 45 years ago of a compassionate nun named Sister Cathy in Baltimore and the possible reasons for her death and the (probable) cover-up.

EMMYS 2018 FYC
My husband, Lakeith Stanfield as Darius in Atlanta
I don't see Dear White People cracking Series (Globes, tho) but directing nom for Barry Jenkins or writing is more likely
Dear White People will probably only get a random Narrator nom for Esposito. We saw last year that big names can get snubbed in directing when the show has zero buzz. Netflix won't campaign for it.
I feel like Netflix is just dumping too many shows at the same time or at least too many near the eligibility deadline thinking that will keep them in front of a person's voting thoughts. But I'm supremely disappointed in their lack of effort with Dear White People and especially for not getting in front of the early racist bullshit (from white people, who didn't see the movie and reacted solely on the title) about the show.
"Zero buzz" is a stretch. There is buzz for the show, the reviews are great and according to Pete Hammond, Netflix is campaigning Dear White People along with the usual contenders. Writing, Directing, Narrator and Series is on the cards IMO.

My husband, Lakeith Stanfield as Darius in Atlanta
Dear White People is amazing, but I don't expect it to break into the race at all.
But like Erik said, Netflix just has soooo much and we've already seen them breakthrough with Kimmy Schmidt and Master of None which seems like much safer bets (Not to mention, they also have Grace and Frankie which has gotten actress nom)
Plus it's a new show that's somewhat low on prestige and hasn't obviously broken out the way Atlanta or their previous shows have-- I mean, Jenkins directing is the only real noteworthy name involved outside of Eposito as the narrator
The Jenkins episode is already getting tons of writeups so it may rise above and become something. I hope so.
April-May has become the Emmy contenders month, so many top tier releases on all platforms, very curious how everything will pan out
I really really detest what Netflix are doing atm.. theyve got a bunch of really great shows and just dropped them all out in May in the hope that one of them sticks, even though they would have all been good enough to stand on their own.
13 reasons why definitely has the most buzz but that sort of teen drama is never happening, and dear white people has been just totally mishandled.
Im guessing they will just totally dominate the sag awards next year though

That's great! Although to be honest the Emmy FYC campaign would have likely led to nothing except Janney nod, so this is better use of money instead.

Yeah, that's really cool. Other shows and networks should follow suit, imo.
By the way, which category would 'The Handmaid's Tale' be campaigned in? I'm only asking because Channel 4 is going to start airing it in the UK next Sunday.
