I really want Mandy Moore to happen. She was so robbed last year. Stigma of being too pretty.

Yeah, same. Not sure if ERW gets in or Sandra Oh.

Sandra, too. I think Elisabeth, Claire, Keri, Mandy, Sandra, and a toss up between HBO ladies Evan and Emilia for the last spot.

Should we do a poll predictions series again?

    I'm happy to organize it.

I don't see Evan missing. Westworld is critics darling. It would be more likely for Moore to miss yet again than her. Hopefully Clark is the one who will miss.

I'm not necessarily sure I would call Westworld a "critics darling." I think Wood and Moore are basically on even footing right now.

Go for it! I guess once the ballots are officially posted, you can start!

I'll help make some if you want. Last year we split the genres.

According to a GD poster we should have the ballots in an hour's time (12PM EST).

Probably a good idea to start a new thread for the reactions.

Someone needs to verify the reception of "Westworld" latest episodes.

For a few months I tought that the GoT actors are safe, but now I feel like GoT Season 7 will be another Mad Men Season 7 Part 1 (Emmys dropped everyone except Hamm and Hendricks) and The Sopranos Season 6 Part 1 (Emmys dropped everyone including Gandolfini and Falco except Imperioli), so... maybe only Dinklage gets in (plus Rigg in Guest). GoT just feels incredibly old compared to the other shows and literally nobody has one good Emmy tape from season 7.

From what i gather people were very much into episode 5
And yesterday's episode is being regarded to as the best thing the series offered so far
So the second half of the season might bring it home

    Dame Leo upset,

The Dame is horrified by some of the current people leading the GDerby odds! Ann Dowd AGAIN? She's not even the best supporting actress on her show. Kate McKinnon? Come on. 3 in a row? Absurd. She's not THAT good. I also must have missed what was so amazing about Laura Dern in The Tale. But that's a pretty weak category.

Also, there's a special place in hell reserved for those voters that allow Claire Foy to leave Emmyless for The Crown.

That's how I feel, but with Keri Russell.

Biel should win lead p, Dern supporting. That’s perfect

I agree about Claire, she’s the best in that category along with Keri
