I don’t know if this is the appropriate place to post this but between Viola and Octavia speaking out about the inequality of pay for women of colour and many possibilities for leading actress nominees of colour I have this feeling one of those is going to win. Whether it be Viola, Taraji, Kiki, Constance or any other I’m not mentioning I just have this feeling there will be some narrative considering it’s been 90 years and still only one woman has won leading actress.
Yep, and this year is looking Great for another POC winner - Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Salma Hayek, Poorna Jagannathan, Constance Wu, Kiki Layne, Gina Rodríguez... If one (or few) of them stays strong, it can really happen.

AND that the movie isn't a Cheney biopic per se. But folks tend to forget that. But now a trade has also mentioned it. Mckay said, yes it's about Dick Cheney's rise but it's also about the family.

nor is it solely about Cheney.

All the mall wishing well fountains full of your pennies.

Still, I expect Adams to move to whatever category she has the highest shot at winning like Viola did.
