MacLachlan and Harris both turned in career best work. Two remarkable achievements.

Tough category this year, I think.

It feels like about ten guys are on an even playing field. I'm not even 100% sold on Criss getting nominated, but I think he's probably in. Did anybody watch Patrick Melrose? Will Cumberbatch hurt himself with a double submission?

Going into the year, Michael B. Jordan and Al Pacino felt like surefire bets, but here we are with both of them teetering on the edge. I think they both barely make it.

Evan is the best in this category, unfortunately he won't even get nominated

I'm hopedicting that Capaldi stands a small chance for the Doctor Who Christmas special as it is his swan song. The show itself has only been eligible the past few years for the first time because it's now a BBC America co-production, but the show still never stood a chance in Drama Series. Maybe it stands a small one in the TV Movie/Miniseries categories (here and writing probably being the best bets).

Top 4 is easy with McClachan, Cumberbatch, Criss and Pacino. Daniels probably gets in as well.

The film is horrible, but I still think just based on the year he has had and the fact it's HBO, Michael B. Jordan can sneak in here.

    1. Kyle MacLachlan as Special Agent Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks: The Return
    2. Kyle MacLachlan as Mr. C in Twin Peaks: The Return
    3. Kyle MacLachlan as Douglas Jones in Twin Peaks: The Return
    4. Kyle MacLachlan as "Dougie" in Twin Peaks: The Return
    5. Kyle MacLachlan as "Richard" in Twin Peaks: The Return
    6. Kyle MacLachlan as Mr. C as Cooper in Twin Peaks: the Return

And in the event that we have a seventh nominee:
    7. Kyle MacLachlan as Replacement Dougie in Twin Peaks: the Return.

Thanks for playing, everyone else, but you all can stay at home.

This. MacLachlan was just astonishing in every fucking part of it. Give him the Emmy, now!
