Damn! What an album. I think, out of the three I've heard, this is their best LP (Touch and Sweet Dreams being the other two). I didn't know anything besides "I Need a Man," and it's all excellent. Ugh, I love them. Annie's voice is such a vital part of my pop world.

    1. Laura Mvula - Sing to the Moon
A very ambitious one, however, it kinda left you disconnected with certain parts of it. Sometimes, the lyric is very minimalist, left u no clue what it's about actually. More admired than enjoyed. But I still recommend it highly, i think she will go far, just connect with audiences a bit more.

    2. Jessie Ware - Devotion
The album got a US re-release, so I hear it again. The new tracks are good, but not outstanding. "Imagine it was us" was very popish, but not quite on the effortless level of "110%" or "Running". I didn't hear the remixes though. One of my faves of last year, and it was a pleasant surprise, I just downloaded it without expecting anything at all. I also think the album's producers were seriously overlooked for the album's praise.

    3. Hunter Hayes - HH
No shame but I LOVE "Wanted" Idt there was another track that captured that song's magic (yeah, i think it is THAT good) though. I love some other tracks too, but dislike "Rainy Season" - i found it manipulative and not emotional enough. Quite sweet, I think he achieved what he wanted with this one.

Anyone hear Brad Paisley here? I've only heard "American Saturday Nights" and loved it, esp. "Anything Like Me" & "Oh Yeah, She's Gone". Any recommendation? (I'm not a country fan, only heard albums from Brad - 1, Carrie - the last 3 and Miranda Lambert - the last 3 too)

Well, in terms of Brad Paisley, don't listen to Wheelhouse, it's awful.

But "Whiskey Lullabye", "Somebody Knows You Now", and "I'm Gonna Miss Her" are really great. I'd recommend most of 'Mud On The Tires' as an album.

Largo: good for more than embarrassing forum elders with her pop-punk. Now she embarrasses them with her country!

The reviews for "Wheelhouse" seem quite positive??? Cause I already downloaded it and didn't get to hear yet But thanks for the recommendation, I heard the 3 tracks you mentioned and think "Whiskey Lullabye" was great. I should search for the album "Mud on the tires". But young Brad is a bit generic handsome, isn't he?

Country isn't really my thing, and I wasn't a huge fan of most of the collaborations on 'Wheelhouse', which took it down in my estimation. I'd say listen to it for yourself and skip 'Accidental Racist', for the love of God. It's one of the worst songs I've ever heard. And younger Brad... isn't really my type, but yep, generic handsome sounds about right.
