    1. Arctic Monkeys – I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor (2005)
    2. Franz Ferdinand – Take Me Out (2004)
    3. Joy Division – Love Will Tear Us Apart (1980)

    7. The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army (2003)
    8. Blur – Song 2 (1997)
    9. The Smiths – There Is A Light That Never Goes Out (1986)
    10. New Order – Blue Monday (1983)

Thoughts? Three of my personal Top 100 of all time are in it, so I can't complain, but it skews a bit... young, no?
The Smiths' is like one of my favorite song of all time. But I agree 7/10 can be classified as contemporary with special objection to the inclusion of Franz Ferdinand and AM at the top. These are good songs but not deserve to be included in a top 10. Also, Blur should have rated higher.

It's been hard for me to get into that new Dirty Projectors single.

The entirety of Bloom, however, is fantastic.

Sort of in love with this Cold Cave song that was recorded as a B-side for Cherish the Light Years and is just now seeing the light of day.

Anybody on the Emeli Sande train? I've only heard a couple of her tracks, but I very much like what I hear. Looking forward to listening to the entire album soon.

Yeah, I got on the ride 2 pages back (and I think Largo too.) I haven't heard the album yet and that I exactly what I was asking: how is the whole record? I wonder the resemblance to Beyonce will hurt her or help.

Huh? She sounds more like Leona Lewis than anyone else.

It's kind of shameful how much I still love American Idiot, like, one decade (what) later.

Leona? I never thought of her.

Hehe, for me the similarity to Beyonce's style of singing and vocals was uncanny.

For me Leona is a bit mellow and controlled and Beyonce fierce and raw. Hence Sande's likeness to the latter.

I don't get much Beyonce from at all. I can hear the Leona comparisons.
