I just watched this movie and I am not sure how I feel about it. I would love to know how much of this is faithful to the actual story because i am baffled on the idea of any young woman being that ignorant to the law to go through with some of the things she was asked to do under any circumstances. Especially since she is innocent.
One thing that didn't make sense to me is Sandra's sudden shift from sympathetic and caring to cold and unresponsive after her fiance begins to watch Becki. She refused to listen to Becki anymore and wouldn't even let her talk but why? What made her change towards everything so drastically? I am also not sure if she actually saw Becki putting her uniform back on when she went in after the scene with her fiance. She was clearly still adjusting it. And if so, why didn't she do anything about it? At the end, the man says something along the lines of it being obvious that she saw Becki putting her clothes on and she doesn't deny it. She just looks uncomfortable.
Ann Dowd gave a stunning performance though and her final scene was very powerful. It's a shame she was overlooked.
