Didnt care for the film project scenes either. If not for the leads I wouldnt have bothered finishing it.

On the other hand I was pleasantly surprised that this was the first film in... decades? ... where none of the cops were corrupt. It was so refreshingly retro in that aspect.

I'm 2000 and late but just got to this one...

Found it completely compelling and well-acted (loved the leads... very believable and Michelle Rodriguez too, in her small role!)

The way it was shot was a bit dumb and gimmicky but it did make it feel immediate.

Gurl, that wasn't Michelle Rodriguez... You're either mistaking her with America Ferreira or Natalie Martinez.

I just saw this too and I was really impressed. The leads had great chemistry and it was edge of your seat entertainment through and through. I never cared for Jake but he was a revelation here, his most accomplished performance by far. Michael Peņa finally got a role to showcase his talent and didn't disappoint. The cinematography was annoying but this movie really got me. The ending was kind of a cheat though. Did the white guy really need to survive??? UGH... Whatever, this was good stuff.
