The 25th Vancouver Film Critics Circle (VFCC) nominations have been announced and Sean Baker’s Anora leads with five, nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress – Mikey Madison, Best Supporting Actor – Yura Borisov, and Best Screenplay.
A trio of films earned three nominations each (the org limits their number of nominations per category to three): Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist with Best Picture, Best Actor – Adrien Brody and Best Screenplay, Jesse Eisenberg’s A Real Pain with Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor – Kieran Culkin and Best Screenplay, and A Complete Unknown with Best Actor – Timothée Chalamet, Supporting Actor – Edward Norton and Supporting Actress – Monica Barbaro.
