2026 Producers Guild Awards Announce Key Dates and Deadlines

Today, the Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced the key dates for the 2026 Producers Guild Awards, which will take place on February 28, 2026.

The Producers Guild Awards ceremony celebrates the work and accomplishments of producers and recognizing outstanding achievements in producing across various categories, including theatrical motion pictures, television, documentaries, animation, and emerging media.

Last year, the top theatrical film honor went to Anora, which went on to win the Best Picture Oscar. Shōgun, Hacks, The Wild Robot, and Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story were among the other winners.

Special honors went to Chris Meledandri, who received the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures; Taika Waititi, who received the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television; and Dana Walden, who received the Milestone Award.

Here are the key dates for the 37th annual Producers Guild Awards season:

Eligibility Period for 2026 Producers Guild Awards

  • Innovation Award: October 2, 2024 – October 1, 2025
  • Theatrical Motion Pictures; Animated Motion Pictures; Documentary Motion Pictures; Television Series/Specials; Streamed or Televised Motion Pictures; Sports, Children’s, and Short Form: January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025

Notice of Producing Credits From Deadline

  • Documentary Motion Pictures: Friday, August 29, 2025
  • Television Programs (Television Series/Specials; Streamed or Televised Motion Pictures; Sports, Children’s, and Short Form): Friday, September 26, 2025
  • Innovation Award: Wednesday, October 1, 2025
  • Theatrical Motion Pictures and Animated Motion Pictures: Friday, October 10, 2025

Screener Submission Deadline

  • Documentary Motion Pictures: Friday, August 29, 2025

Nomination Polls Open
