American Cinema Editors (ACE) has announced the key dates for the 76th Annual ACE Eddie Awards, honoring outstanding editing in film, television and documentaries. The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles.

The eligibility period for television submissions runs from November 2, 2024, through December 31, 2025. For feature films, the eligibility window is from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

“The ACE Eddie Awards are a celebration of the incredible artistry and dedication of editors who are essential to the storytelling process,” said ACE President Sabrina Plisco. “We are excited to recognize the outstanding work of our colleagues at the 76th annual ceremony.”

Three special honors will be handed out at the ACE Eddie Awards ceremony including two Career Achievement recipients, presented to film editors of outstanding merit, and the Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year honor, presented to a filmmaker who exemplifies distinguished achievement in the art and business of film. Honorary award recipients will be announced later this year. The winner of the Anne V. Coates Student Editing Competition will also be announced that evening.

Submissions for nominations will open on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The final deadline for all submissions is Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PT.

Nomination ballots will be sent on Monday, January 12, 2026, and are due by Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PT. The nominations for the 76th Annual ACE Eddie Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

An ACE Nominee Cocktail Party will be held on a date to be determined.

Last year’s ACE winners for film, delayed until after the Oscars due to the wildfires in Los Angeles, were Emilia Pérez for drama, Wicked for comedy and The Wild Robot for animated. Comedy nominee Anora won the Oscar.
