Oscars: Shortlists to be revealed in nine categories on the same day

87 Countries to Compete for Foreign Language Film Oscar

The final list is in and 87 countries have qualified to compete for the Foreign Language Film Oscar.  Afghanistan’s entry, Rona, Azim’s Mother, was not on the final list. Kenyan judge lifts ban on ‘Rafiki,’ making the LGBTQ film Oscar-eligible
