First Look: Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall and more in ‘Coming 2 America’

Amazon Studios has released the first looks at Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones and more in the upcoming Coming 2 America, set for March 2021, and featuring costumes by Academy Award winner Ruth E. Carter (Black Panther). [Update: trailer added below]

Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.

Coming 2 America is directed by Craig Brewer from a screenplay by Kenya Barris and Barry W. Blaustein & David Sheffield and a story by Barry W. Blaustein & David Sheffield and Justin Kanew. It is produced by Kevin Misher and Eddie Murphy, and executive produced by Brian Oliver, Bradley Fischer, Valerii An, Kenya Barris, Charisse Hewitt-Webster, Michele Imperato Stabile and Andy Berman.

Murphy, Hall and Jones star alongside Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes, John Amos, Teyana Taylor, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Paul Bates, Nomzamo Mbatha and Bella Murphy.

Amazon Studios will exclusively release Coming 2 America globally on Prime Video March 5th, 2021.
