    Bottom Line:

The Winner will be Copper or Bale.

Basically a coin flip, but since Bale has a previous win, Cooper has the edge.
If Harley Quinn did not exist, it would be necessary to invent her

Just got back from a Burger King. I walked in and surveyed the place. There was a young couple with two kids eating in peace, so I stomped over and told them that feeding their children fast food swill was borderline child abuse, and the wife almost swung at me. I then ran to the other side of the establishment and started asking people (using a megaphone) if they liked Bohemian Rhapsody more than First Man; some guy started ranting about the flag, so I snatched his food and threw it in the trash. Cops arrived, but they were all on my payroll, so I walked while they checked everyone else's IDs for outstanding warrants.

He's not bad. He's good. But not worthy of an Oscar, barely a nom. Malek is in worse territory.

Both Hawke and JDW making it with Mortensen snubbed would make some sense in hindsight. Sorta like how people thought Blanchett was the weak link in the 07 lineup and then it was the presumed 4th Jolie who missed for Linney

Also BCoop deserves this and I won’t hear otherwise

I could actually imagine Mortensen being the huge snub of the year for some reason. However, Green Book will probably play great with AMPAS and with Ali getting in, why wouldn’t Viggo?

Nice shout-out about toxic fast food. Keep being fun and weird. This one works because you relegated First Man to being a motif rather than a theme.

John David Washington is the only black actor to contend for a nomination. He should have a huge lobby supporting him, specially after #OscarsSoWhite. Just saying.

I agree. I think he is definitely in. We have seen critics consensus picks as huge snubs before. Hawke is the ultimate critics push, but he has missed the bigger precursors so far which is a very telling. I think if he is about to kick someone in the category, it's going to be Mortensen, though. As of Green Book, I think most of the attention is on Ali, not Mortensen. Like @Solaire said, Mortensen can be an easy and 'shocking' snub this time.

If you consider the atrocious BFCA as a precursor, then that gives Hawke a slight edge since Washington was not nominated there.
