But could it somehow make it in?
WGA has own separate awards for animated.

The issue with animated films in screenplay - These usually have presence at critics awards and noms and even more guild support beyond animated ghetto.

    Toy Story 3: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435761/awards?ref_=tt_awd
    Wall-E: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0910970/awards?ref_=tt_awd
    Ratatouille: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382932/awards?ref_=tt_awd
    Finding Nemo: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266543/awards?ref_=tt_awd
    Inside Out: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2096673/awards?ref_=tt_awd

Spiderman has only won as animated feature film, no AFI Top 10 mention and Adapted Screenplay category still has some names around in competition.

For some reason, "ghetto" took me out

I think that's only true for TV awards. Animated movies have their own guild.

Depends on eligibility since I'm not sure if Bo Burnham is a member of the WGA, same story with Cuaron and 'Roma' and 'The Favourite'.

It's eligible. The Favourite is the only ineligible BP contender this year.

I haven't seen yet the film, but I am intrigued, why Buster Scruggs doesn't have more votes? It's a Coen's film, I assume it will have more passion than Eight grade, A quiet place or First reformed. Especially considering how weak the category seems to be. The same can be said about The death of Stalin in Adapted screenplay.

If Crazy Rich Asians makes PGA over Beale Street, does that mean the same thing for WGA? Would sorta remind me of Inside Llewyn Davis missing WGA.

-Inside Llewyn Davis was snubbed and had better critical run than Buster Scruggs.
-The Death of Stalin should have competed last year, when they had the British support alone. Big mistake of IFC Films.
