For a Christian animated movie that got terrible reviews.

Yeah not much correlation, I think 2/5 is typical. So Shallow and All the Stars are locked, maybe Revelation sneaks in. That's the only overlap I forsee.

    1. Shallow
    2. All the Stars
    3. Trip the Light Fantastic
    4. Here Comes the Change (I still believe in this)
    5. Revelation

On another note, I do think Walt Disney Pictures needs to chose one of the songs from 'Mary Poppins Returns'. Let one of them go.

I'm very happy the Globes recognized "Revelation"! Thought it would be too small for them. Hopefully can squeeze in there at the Oscars.

I think the Oscars are probably more likely to go for Girl at the Movies than Revelation. Parton’s a legendary two time nominee, whose song celebrates cinema and comes from Netflix.

I know the Globes love stars, but I’m kinda surprised they opted for Sivan over Horan, Ora/Paine, Kesha, McGraw, and Khalid/Normani. Maybe I’m underestimating his appeal to voters. Or maybe he’s helped by the fact that he also acted in the film. Idk.

Maybe. And the song is lovely, to be honest.

His song is arguably the best out of these, McGraw's an exception, also it has a great message + Boy Erased is a important film and deserved at least this recognition. Rita Ora, Liam Payne, Khalid and Normani aren't big names, lol.

I don't think McGraw was eligible since I don't think they allow songs from documentaries to be nominated. Kesha, Sia, and Post Malone all missing out for Sivan is weird though.

It's ok. It's worse than all but one song on the A Star Is Born soundtrack, but it's ok.

    I mean, it's Sia...

It's cute but nothing special. That's probably how Corbet sees the pop music. Or maybe worse. Depends on the rest of Sia's songs.

Girl In The Movies should get nominated, it’s so good. Great song choices this year. Shallow, All Of The Stars, The Place Where Lost Things Go, Girl In The Movies and Revelation would be an iconic 5.

She wrote Chandelier and Titanium so she obviously knows how to write a song. She just can’t seem to capture the same magic for a movie.

Gave up on Can't Stop the Change after I'll Fight got the critics choice nom. That'll be the RBJ song. And Revelation takes a bit of a tumble with Girls in the Movies now hitting both precursors.

    1. Shallow
    2. All the Stars
    3. Mary Poppins Song
    4. I'll Fight
    5. Girl in the Movies

    ALT: Revelation

It would be an iconic five... and the likely winner would be my least favorite song in the lineup.

“Revelation” really hit me today. I need it to happen. “Oscar nominee Troye Sivan” seems a bit far-fetched, but stranger things have happened.

And I like “Girl in the Movies” more with each listen. They’re really about to make Dolly go 3/3 with songs that deserved to win but didn’t, aren’t they?
