So random and yet somehow original. No Adams, King, Stone, Weisz in Supporting. No Roma. But Close, Mulligan, McKenzie! And the passion for Boy Erased is... puzzling.

The Favorite snubbed in Screenplay along with all actresses is random, specially considering it made Picture and Director.

These are even more unique than the Chicago and San Francisco awards, but without as much good taste.

I agree that the love for Boy Erased is deserving, and I also can't believe that they went with Joel Edgerton over Russell Crowe. I felt that Crowe hit highs that he hasn't seen for quite awhile, and it made me remember when I use to be excited about seeing one of his performances. On the other hand, Edgerton wasn't bad, but I don't think he really stood out in the ensemble the way that Hedges, Kidman, and then Crowe and even some of the other supporting players did.

I see they didn't follow other groups as much, but as a whole I preferred Chicago and San Francisco better.

lol at Foster getting snubbed again even when Leave No Trace gets BP and BD noms, just like at the Spirits. Just... why? How can they snub him if they find the movie nomination worthy in a Top5 BP category? I just don't get it.

I know. I loved his performance and he deserves more recognition. Disappointing to see them go along with Bleeker Street's fraud for Thomasin though.
