    NGNG Predictions 2018/19

GG nominations in just few days, SAG nods in a little over week and there's still no annual NGNG thread

    Let's go wild!

    - Russel Crowe sneaks in for Boy Erased
    - First Man gets shutdown pretty much everywhere, sans for technical categories

    SAG NGNG possibilities:
    — Green Book in Cast (though this is probably not as NGNG as it would have been a week ago)
    — Favourite only receives 2 nods
    — No Vice

    Overall NGNG possibilities:
    — Black Panther receives a total of 2-3 nominations (Song GG, Stunts SAG, etc)

No cast, and then I’d guess Weisz doesn’t make it

    PGA Nominations

Vice and the A24 films aren't nominated, Crazy Rich Asians and A Quiet Place are

    Oscar Nominations

There are only 8 nominees for Best Picture

Ryan Coogler and Barry Jenkins are both nominated for Best Director and Spike Lee is not

    GG and SAG:

Streep nabs double nominations for both and fight for Oscar #4 in a “weak” year for both categories.

Leave No Trace for Adapted Screenplay. I don't think it will get any of the big precursors.

John David Washington over Ethan Hawke.

My current take on the visual effects category - don't want to repeat it all here, there's a thread for it.

That's probably all. The term No Guts, No Glory usually just means "bad prediction".
