The Lego Movie won BAFTA over Big Hero 6, I’m still predicting Spider-Verse.

The only way Spider-Verse loses this is if they get snubbed like LEGO Movie. It just won PGA, so just solidified its status

The LEGO movie comparison doesn’t even make sense, can we stop saying it?

I hate how they ruined this category with the rule changes they made 2 years ago. It's not fun to predict it anymore.

    FINAL PREDICTION (in alphabetical order)

    The Incredibles 2
    Isle of Dogs
    Mirai
    Ralph Breaks the Internet
    Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Spidey's got the win in the bag, I guess. It should really be Ralph though.

Yeah, Lego didn't have nearly as much critical acclaim and it didn't sweep leading up to the Oscars like Spidey either. It lost the Golden Globe and Annie Award and didn't accumulate nearly as many critics awards.

Wasn't the change in voting procedures partially because of the backlash to its "snub" too? The internet outrage was so extra, and it annoyed me that so many people directed their rage at the lesser known movies. Personally I think it's a little overrated and I'm glad it was left out if it made some more room for the beautiful Song of the Sea and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. But no way Spidey misses now.

The only thing that can stop it is Disney flexing its muscle and snatching another victory, but there doesn't seem to be much passion behind Incredibles or Ralph. Incredibles will be the most seen by far though.
