Trank has got a lot to prove after Fantastic Four and the bad reputation he's gotten within the industry because of his shitty behaviour. The script must at least be half decent to attract the likes of Hardy and the rest of that cast.Expect him to bring it.

Hardy regularly chooses bad scripts though

Yeah, it’s pretty clear this is gonna be the biggest movie of year.

Does he though? Over the last few years besides Venom and Child 44, he's been pretty solid with his films and with a solid amount of BP contenders.

uhh yeah I'll give you Legend but I'm sure it read ok on the page, and he gave a pretty great performance in it. I think the dual role aspect was what attracted him to that. Besides that though man, you can't deny Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Inception, TDKR, Lawless (it's ok), Locke, The Revenant, The Drop, Mad Max, Dunkirk, Warrior, and also some pretty solid TV stuff with Taboo and Peaky Blinders.

I agree that I don't think Fonzo is a contender, but I am certainly interested on where and who it will land with if it's good, which I think it will be.

Hardy tends to overwork. It's like Samuel L. Jackson/Anna Kendrick in that aspect.

Yeah you might be right to an extent. Seems like he's taking a break right now though for his kids. Ever since Fonzo wrapped last May, he hasn't done anything and hasn't lined anything up either. With Venom being super successful, I feel like he should've taken advantage of that
