With the reviews coming in, 'Toy Story 4' might be our early frontrunner.

I Lost My Body won the two biggest awards at the Annecy Animation Festival, just like My Life as Zucchini a couple years back. With Cannes/Annecy awards & Netflix behind it, it seems very likely to get nominated. And who knows, maybe the two Disney films split the vote.

In that case, there's also GKIDS' arsenal to consider ('Weathering With You' for instance).

Last year, Sony did the impossible here. Now hoping Netflix does the same here.

Slow down, and don't forget that most of the AMPAS voters still think that animation is only children's entertainment. Toy Story 4 will never lose this with those reviews against an artsy French production (no matter how much I want to see that happen). TS4 has the second highest metascore for a Pixar movie in the 2010s, which probably means that it will very easily take this Oscar.

I see 7 strong contenders right now. There are 3 sequels among them and HTTYD3 is least priority of them. I think it will definitely have troubles with #1 votes.

Frozen 2 could very well outgross Toy Story 4, so it'll have as much of a shot as the latter, even if it's not as well-received.
