Hey Darlin’: Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow Dish on their Soapy Surprise Hit Series ‘The Hunting Wives’ [VIDEO INTERVIEW]

There’s a special fun that happens when a show captures the attention of audiences, Twitter erupts with wig memes and quotes, Twitter erupts with wig memes and quotes, and everyone is hyper-focused on scoring a renewal for their new favorite show that has sat in the Netflix Top 10 for weeks. 

The Hunting Wives is such a show, a southern murder mystery with campy dialogue and lived-in performances that attracted audiences all over the world. It’s Big Little Lies with more violence and sexually fluid characters, and at the center are Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow. The two are co-leads on the Lionsgate-produced series (that officially moves to Netflix for season two), both occupying the narrative as the show goes on. Without getting into spoiler territory, there are secrets and lies in the small Texas town the ladies live in, and a dead body. The entire mystery revolves around finding out who the murderer is, but it’ll be the most fun you have watching a TV show in a while.

I sat down and spoke to Akerman and Snow together about the show, why they think it got popular, the wigs that were seen around the world, and what they can say about season two.
