The Creative Arts Emmy Awards are this weekend and that means we’ll have winners in the Guest Acting in a Drama and Comedy Series as well as a tight battle in the Reality Host category. Reigning queen RuPaul Charles (RuPaul’s Drag Race) will battle with Alec Baldwin (Match Game). At the moment, all Emmy Experts see Ru being crowned once again, save Jonathan. With Drag Race exploding this year with seven Emmy nominations it would seem he is the favorite. But never count out 18-time nominee and two-time winner Baldwin. Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg wouldn’t even be crazy and the two do make a great pair at awards shows.

In the Guest Acting categories there is universal agreement that Gerald McRaney (This Is Us) and Alexis Bledel (The Handmaid’s Tale) will triumph on the Drama side (but don’t count out the two other previous Emmy winners in McRaney’s category – Mendelsohn and Azaria).

Guest Actress in a Comedy Series should be a slam dunk for Melissa McCarthy and her Sean Spicer impression on Saturday Night Live. For Guest Actor though, it’s a toss-up. Votes spread out to Lin-Manuel Miranda and Dave Chappelle (both SNL) and Hugh Laurie (Veep) make this a tough one to call. Tom Hanks (SNL) could easily come in and win this with his scene-stealing and hilarious David S. Pumpkins, which became a viral sensation.

Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program will be on Saturday the 9th and the Guest Acting category winners will be revealed on the second night of the Creative Arts Emmys, Sunday the 10th.

Final winner predictions for the Primetime Emmy Awards (airing next Sunday the 17th) be be revealed next week but you can track them here.
