Hmmm... where is Hacksaw Ridge?
3 last Gibson directed movies were nominated in this category:
1995 - Braveheart - Oscar win
2004 - The Passion of the Christ - Oscar nom
2006 - Apocalypto - Oscar nom
And HR is #5 in Tapley and Feinberg predictions in this category atm, so...
It might get added here in Makeup & Hairstyling but we don't feel that it will be a player in any above the line categories. Sound categories, yes. But that's based on who the sound designer is and that it's a war film, not that it's Mel Gibson. You point to his last three films getting Oscar nominations but they each got less than the one before.

Ok, thanks. I just think that Hacksaw Ridge has much more chances than doc-ry "The 13th" listed among "OTHER CONTENDERS". But it is your vision, that's ok. May be I'm wrong and you're right, who knows.

Nocturnal Animals such unique and stylized work on so many characters,surely should be in the list for makeup as well as cinematography
