2018 TIFF adds 26 more titles including ‘Boy Erased,’ ‘Mid90s’ plus Opening Night film ‘Outlaw King’

The lineup features World Premieres from Sebastián Lelio, Maryam Keshavarz, Louis Garrel,
Sam Taylor-Johnson, Peter Farrelly, Thomas Vinterberg, Chanya Button, Veena Sud, Jeremy Saulnier and Jonah Hill
The Toronto International Film Festival today unveiled its second batch of titles premiering in the Gala and Special Presentations programs in September. Four Gala Presentations and 22 Special Presentations have been added to the selection of titles already announced.
Just some of the new world premiere announcements include Jonah Hill’s directorial debut Mid90s, Peter Farrelly’s Green Book starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali, Sebastián Lelio’s Gloria Bell starring Julianne Moore and Chanya Button’s Vita & Virginia starring Elizabeth Debicki and Gemma Arterton.
The Opening and Closing Night films have also been announced. They are: David Mackenzie’s Outlaw King (Opening) starring Chris Pine and Justin Kelly’s Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy starring Kristen Stewart and Laura Dern.
“We’re rounding out the lineup of Galas and Special Presentations with some of the most exciting films of the year,” said Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director of TIFF. “Audiences won’t want to miss these premieres from a mix of newcomers and global heavyweights.”
This second announcement brings the total for Galas and Special Presentations to 44 World Premieres, 9 International Premieres, 12 North American Premieres and 11 Canadian Premieres.
The 43rd Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 6 to 16, 2018.
