2020 Emmy Nominations reaction podcast
The nominations are in! There were snubs and shocks and surprises!
AwardsWatch Emmy podcast regular Kevin Jacobsen joined for me a quick reaction podcast to go over some of the more egregious misses (Viola Davis? Elisabeth Moss?), the biggest surprises (What We Do In the Shadows! Zendaya!) and more than a bit on the history-making level of Black nominees this year.
This podcast runs about 35m with opening (Leslie Jones announcing the Drama Series nominees) and closing music (Succession main theme by Nicholas Britell)
Erik Anderson is the founder/owner and Editor-in-Chief of AwardsWatch and has always loved all things Oscar, having watched the Academy Awards since he was in single digits; making lists, rankings and predictions throughout the show. This led him down the path to obsessing about awards. Among his many achieved goals with AwardsWatch, he has given a platform to underrepresented writers and critics and supplied them with access to film festivals and the industry and calls the Bay Area his home where he lives with his husband and son.
