Netflix’s The Crown and Unbelievable were among the Golden Globe nominations leaders for television this morning, along with HBO’s Chernobyl, Big Little Lies and Succession finding multiple nominations.
Netflix’s When They See Us was snubbed across the board, even Emmy winner Jharrel Jerome. The Hollywood Foreign Press instead found room Catch-22’s Christopher Abbott and The Spy’s Sasha Baron Cohen among its nominees for Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film.
As the Golden Globes loves to do, a host of freshman shows made strong showings for their first seasons including The Morning Show and The Politician but also found some love (although very little) for final seasons of Game of Thrones and Mr. Robot.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which puts on the Golden Globes, is made up of 90 journalists from around the world.
The 77th Golden Globe Awards will be presented on Sunday, January 5, 2020 and air live on NBC at 5pm PST / 8pm EST and be hosted by Ricky Gervais. Here is the complete list of nominations.
