2020 Oscar Nomination Predictions: ANIMATED FEATURE (December)

The top four holds steady this month as the Annie nominations were announced a few weeks ago but How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World makes a move into the top 5. It doesn’t feel like a possible winner but it may be looking at a nomination as it closes out its series.
While Frozen II and Missing Link led those Annie noms, it’s Toy Story 4 and I Lost My Body that have captured the lion’s share of critics’ awards. While critics aren’t voters, the impact of those wins will still probably be felt and that benefits a smaller film like I Lost My Body enormously.
Here are my 2020 Oscar Nomination Predictions in Animated Feature for December 17, 2019.
