2022 Critics Association of Central Florida (CACF) winners
The Critics Association of Central Florida have revealed their winners and runners-up for the best in film for 2022, their second year as critics’ awards voting body. Everything Everywhere All at Once led with five wins and several runner-up mentions. Brendan Fraser was named Best Actor for The Whale (which also won for its makeup) and Angela Bassett won Supporting Actress for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Babylon, Elvis, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio and Top Gun: Maverick were also among today’s winners.

In addition to the traditional line up of awards, the CACF has several special honors. Returning this year are: “Best Central Florida Film,” a category designed to recognize outstanding achievement by a film with a significant connection to the Central Florida area, and “Best Achievement in Diversity,” a category designed to recognize outstanding achievement by a film that showcases inclusion and diversity, both on the screen and behind the scenes. New for 2022 are: “The Golden Paw,” for best animal performance, “Best Achievement in Choreography,” for achievement in dance, fight, and stunt choreography, and “Best First Feature,” to honor the work of this year’s most exciting new voice.
