2022 Oscar Predictions: PRODUCTION DESIGN and COSTUME DESIGN (December)
Of the critics’ groups who give out production design wins, Dune has earned two while The French Dispatch, Nightmare Alley and West Side Story have each earned one. They all also earned Critics’ Choice nominations alongside Belfast.
For costume design we have Dune, Cruella and Spencer with wins but with only the first two earning Critics’ Choice nominations where they joined House of Gucci, Nightmare Alley and West Side Story.
The production design/art directors, set decorators and costume designers guilds won’t have their say with nominations until January 24, January 17 and January 27, respectively.
Here are my ranked 2022 Oscar predictions in Production Design and Costume Design for December 2021.
