2022 Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA) winners: ‘Elvis,’ ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’
The Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA) tonight revealed their winners Elvis was the winner for Period Film and in Fantasy/Science Fiction Film Everything Everywhere All At Once pulled off a bit of an upset over Avatar: The Way of Water, which is Oscar-nominated in the production design category and EEAAO is not.
Even with only four categories for feature film, there were two ties, in Contemporary Film where TÁR and Top Gun: Maverick won, and Musical/Comedy Film where Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent were both awarded.
The streamed announcement was hosted by Gene Cane and JoAnn Vara along with special guest presenters to award the Best Achievement in Decor/ Design for this year in Film.
The Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA) was established in 1993, this is the third year of their annual awards.
