2024 Critics Association of Central Florida (CACF) Winners: ‘Anora,’ ‘Dune: Part Two,’ ‘Wicked,’ ‘Challengers’ Take Top Honors

The Critics Association of Central Florida (CACF) has revealed its winners and runners-up for the best in film for 2024 where Anora, Dune: Part Two and Wicked shared the most wins.

Anora was awarded Best Picture, Best Actress (Mikey Madison) and Best Screenplay, Dune: Part Two picked up Best Director, Cinematography, Sound Design and Visual Effects while Wicked won Best Cast, Costume Design and Production Design. Challengers was a double winner for Score and Editing.

Colman Domingo was named Best Actor for his work in Sing Sing, Kieran Culkin won Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain and Zoe Saldaña won Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Pérez.

In addition to the traditional line up of awards, the CACF has several special honors. Returning this year are: Best Central Florida Film, a category designed to recognize outstanding achievement by a film with a significant connection to the Central Florida area where the winner was Starring Jerry as Himself. Best Achievement in Diversity, a category designed to recognize outstanding achievement by a film that showcases inclusion and diversity, both on the screen and behind the scenes, went to Wicked. Outstanding Youth Performance, to celebrate the achievements of performers under the age of eighteen, went to Izaac Wang for Dìdi (弟弟). Added this year, the Social Impact Award, designed to recognize a film addresses relevant social issues in an impactful way, was awarded to Sing Sing.
