2025 Creative Arts Emmys Predictions: ‘The Pitt,’ ‘Severance’ and ‘The Studio’ Should Dominate

This weekend, for two nights, the Television Academy will present Creative Arts Emmys for the best in artisan work for the last year of television. Across the two-night event happening on Saturday and Sunday, almost 100 awards will be given out before the Primetime award show, giving a slight idea to how the big night might pan out.
Severance has the highest number of nominations this year with 27, so it wouldn’t be a shock for the series to move through the Creative Arts Emmys and take home some wins, including in picture editing and cinematography. The series could also win Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series, which would position it better to take home Outstanding Drama Series. It will be going up against The Pitt in this category, which could prove to be the biggest competitor Severance has. The AppleTV+ original is also poised to take home Outstanding Title Design for its changed opening sequence. The Pitt could take home Guest Actor in a Drama Series for Shawn Hatosy’s performance in the series, as direct-competition Severance isn’t in this category.
The Studio looks to take home awards at the Creative Arts Emmys as well, including both Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Comedy Series. The show also holds five out of the six slots for Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, so the real surprise would be if the sole nominee from a different show, Jon Bernthal, takes home the award. While the category is packed with actors for the show, Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston seems most likely to gain favor with voters enough to push out his competition. The Studio could also win in Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Zoë Kravitz performance in the series.
Juried Awards have already been announced and will be presented over the weekend as well, including awards for Love, Death + Robots, Beyoncé Bowl, Arcane, and White Rabbit.
The Creative Arts Emmys will take place this weekend on Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7. FXX will air an edited version of the ceremonies the following weekend on Saturday, September 13 at 8:00 p.m. PT. The Primetime Emmy Awards will be held the next night, September 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m PT.
