Georgia Film Critics Association (GAFCA) Nominations: ‘One Battle After Another’ Leads with 12

The Georgia Film Critics Association (GAFCA) has announced their slate of nominees for the GAFCA Awards celebrating the 2025 year in film.
One Battle After Another earned 12 nominations—the most of any title—with Sinners following with 10 mentions. Sentimental Value received 8 nods while Train Dreams earned 7, Hamnet earned 6, and Marty Supreme received 5 mentions.
Miles Caton, David Corenswet, Chase Infiniti, Jacobi Jupe, and Eva Victor were nominated for Breakthrough Award—a category intended to honor a filmmaker’s or performer’s entire body of work released in the calendar year and not tied to specific film titles.
Founded in 2011, this year marks the 15th anniversary of the awards program for the critics group. GAFCA is made up of over 50 film critics from around the state, representing print, television, radio and online media.
