Two films, one very under-awarded this season and one the awards leader this season, have topped the London Film Critics nominations today. Respectively, Love & Friendship and Moonlight. Both earned seven nominations. Maren Ade’s critics’ winner Toni Erdmann was right behind with six nominations, while La La Land, Manchester by the Sea and American Honey each earned five.
Last year’ Oscar winner for Foreign Language Film, Son of Saul, is nominated here (due to its release date in the UK) in Film of the Year, Foreign Language Film of the Year and Director of the Year.
