‘Ladies in Black,’ ‘Sweet Country,’ ‘Boy Erased’ top Australian Academy Awards (AACTA) Nominations
The nominations for the 60th Australian Academy Awards have been announced and Ladies in Black leads the pack with 11, followed by Sweet Country with 10.
Joel Edgerton earned three of Boy Erased‘s seven nominations (Director, Supporting Actor and Adapted Screenplay) that also included Best Feature and three acting nods for Lucas Hedges, Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe.
Upgrade, Breath and Peter Rabbit were also top nomination-getters.
Previous big winners here have included Hacksaw Ridge and Lion, both of which went on to earn multiple Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.
The winners will be announced at two presentations held at The Star Event Centre in Sydney: The Industry Luncheon on December 3rd, and the AACTA Awards Ceremony on December 5th.
