Jamie Foxx, ‘Red Talk Table,’ ‘P-Valley’ win NAACP Image Awards (Night Three)
The third night of the 52nd NAACP Image Awards were held in a non-televised event on Wednesday, covering several categories in film, television and news/information.
Jamie Foxx won Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance – Motion Picture for Soul (his sixth win overall), which also won Animated Film. Marsai Martin repeated her win last year for Outstanding Performance by a Youth (Series, Special, Television Movie or Limited-Series) in black-ish (her fourth overall) and Celebrity Family Feud won two awards: Outstanding Reality Program/Reality Competition or Game Show and Outstanding Host in a Reality/Reality Competition, Game Show or Variety (Series or Special) – Individual or Ensemble for Steve Harvey.
Barack Obama, Madison Potts, ‘The Last Stand’ earn NAACP Image Awards
VERZUZ was named Outstanding Variety Show and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Talk Table was named Outstanding Talk Series. Loretta Devine was named Outstanding Guest Performance – Comedy or Drama Series for P-Valley. It was her ninth career win.
The 52nd NAACP Image Awards will air live on BET on March 27 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. The ceremony will be simulcast across ViacomCBS Networks including CBS, BET Her, VH1, MTV, MTV2, and LOGO.
