Adam Sandler is officially on board Uncut Gems, the next film from the Safdie Brothers (Good Time).
Shooting on the plot-secret film is expected to start this fall with Scott Rudin and Eli Bush (Lady Bird) producing for Scott Rudin Productions with Sebastian Bear-McClard and Oscar Boyson fromElara Pictures. Martin Scorsese and Emma Tillinger Koskoff are on board as executive producers.
The Safdie Brothers broke through with last year’s Good Time (also distributed by A24), starring Robert Pattinson, earning five Independent Spirit Award nominations after its debut In Competition at the 70th Cannes Film Festival. Next up for Sandler is another in his line of Netflix films (a part of his multi-film deal with the streamer), this one entitled Murder Mystery and co-starring Jennifer Aniston.
