Azhy Robertson gets spooked in trailer for ‘Come Play’

Things that go bump in the night (Jasper Savage / Amblin Partners / Focus Features)
“I…just…want…to…be…your…friend.”
Azhy Robertson, of Marriage Story and The Plot Against America, stars as Oliver in Come Play, a lonely young boy who feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. When a mysterious creature uses Oliver’s devices against him to break into our world, Oliver’s parents (Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr.) must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.
The film is written and directed by Jacob Chase and produced by Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona’s The Picture Company for Amblin Partners.
A little bit Poltergeist, a little bit A Quiet Place, a little bit Slender Man, Focus Features will release Come Play this Halloween. Here is the trailer.
