Black Panther dominated the 19th Black Reel Awards with record-breaking 10 wins, including Outstanding Motion Picture, Outstanding Actor (Chadwick Boseman), Outstanding Supporting Actor (Michael B. Jordan) and Outstanding Director (Ryan Coogler). The film had a record-setting 17 nominations.
Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk was next with four major wins including Outstanding Actress (KiKi Layne) and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Regina King).
Sorry to Bother You, from first-time director Boots Riley, won three including Outstanding Screenplay.
