Casting Society (CSA) 39th Artios Awards Nominations: ‘Saltburn,’ ‘The Color Purple’ ‘May December’ and more
Casting Society (CSA) announced today the film nominees for the 39th Artios Awards, which honor the contributions of casting professionals in film, television, theatre and commercials.
Split across six categories based on budget and genre, the nominees feature big budget – drama are The Color Purple, Maestro, Killers of the Flower Moon, Oppenheimer and Saltburn. For big budget comedies we have Air, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret., Asteroid City, Cocaine Bear and Wonka. Barbie is nominated in the group’s Zeitgeist category alongside The Flash, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
Television nominations were announced in October and can be found here. Academy Award-nominated writer, director and producer Ava DuVernay will be presented with the Lynn Stalmaster Award for Career Achievement.
First held in 1985, the Artios Awards honors Casting Professionals in more than 20 different categories encompassing film, television, theatre and commercials. In addition, special honorees are selected for their contributions to the craft. Nominees and winners are voted on by members of the Casting Society.
The winners will be revealed on Thursday, March 7, 2024, with celebrations taking place on that day in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in New York City at the Edison Ballroom and in London, England, at a venue to be named.
