Critics societies roundup 7
Also known as 'the stragglers'. Or 'the organizations that can't be bothered to design a logo' (we're looking at you, Iowa and Oklahoma!). But still, critics organizations they are, so we will round them up and present their choices, for this last roundup before this week's Oscar nominations. Georgia picked their winners a few days after announcing their nominees, while Iowa and Oklahoma picked theirs straight off the bat (with the former also giving their runners-up).
Most love went to 12 Years a Slave with these groups (Iowa in particular went gaga over it), though Her actually won Best Picture for two of them. Oklahoma is the state where the wealth is spread the most (when it comes to critics awards, anyway). It is also the state which features such classy categories as Obviously Worst Film, though we had to chuckle at Not-So-Obviously Worst Film. August: Osage County won something!
