The winners of the 27th Dallas-Ft. Worth Film Critics Association were announced on Wednesday with Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland named Best Picture. The film also won director for Zhao an Best Cinematography.
Emerald Fennell’s Promising Young Woman was the runner-up for Best Picture, the Best Actress winner (Carey Mulligan) and the Best Screenplay winner (for Fennell). Chadwick Bosemen (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Bottom) and Amanda Seyfried (Mank) took the rest of the acting awards.
Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari won two awards: Best Foreign Language Film and the group’s Russell Smith Award for low-budget or cutting-edge independent film.
