Cultural appropriation, sex and gender norms, racist bots, black lesbians, conspiracy theories, black Scientology and The Sunken Place are front and center in the first clip for the second season of the acclaimed Netflix comedy Dear White People from Justin Simien.

The crew is back including Sam (Logan Browning), Reggie (Marque Richardson), Gabe (John Patrick Amedori), Lionel (DeRon Horton) and Troy (Brandon P. Bell) plus a sneak peek and new Winchester University alum Emmy winner Lena Waithe. Waithe’s P Ninny, a show-within-a-show rapper could prove to be as riotously funny as the show’s Scandal parody from season one.

Dear White People returns with 10 new episodes on May 4th. Here’s your first look.

He is a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic, accredited by the Cannes Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and more, is a member of the International Cinephile Society (ICS), The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics (GALECA), Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) and the International Press Academy. Among his many achieved goals with AwardsWatch, he has given a platform to underrepresented writers and critics and supplied them with access to film festivals and the industry and calls the Bay Area his home where he lives with his husband and son.
