Detroit Film Critics winners: ‘Nomadland’ is top film, ‘Minari,’ Delroy Lindo also score

Nomadland has been named the best picture of 2020 by the Detroit Film Critics Society (DFCS) with Chloé Zhao also picking up best director and adapted screenplay.

Minari was a three-time winner, taking supporting actress for Youn Yuh-jung, ensemble and original screenplay for director Lee Isaac Chung.

Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods) was named Best Actor, Frances McDormand (Nomadland) won Best Actress and Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah) won supporting actor. Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) earned the group’s breakthrough award.
