‘Eighth Grade,’ ‘A Star Is Born’ lead Detroit Film Critics Society (DFCS) nominations
Bo Burnham’s Eighth Grade led the 2018 Detroit Film Critics Society nominations with eight mentions this morning, including Best Film, Director and Actress, with A Star Is Born following closely with six.
The Favourite and Vice came in with five nominations apiece. Although neither got into Best Film, Vice‘s Adam McKay made the Best Director list.
Single nomination oddities included A Quiet Place only in Best Film and If Beale Street Could Talk‘s Regina King in Supporting Actress.
The Detroit Film Critics Society will reveal their winners on Monday, December 3rd. Last year they gave their The Florida Project wins in Best Film, Director and Supporting Actor.
