FINAL 2019 Oscar Predictions: CINEMATOGRAPHY

Director Alfonso Cuarón (Roma) should be set to make history as the first director to win the cinematography Oscar for shooting his own film.
The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) opted for Cold War‘s Łukasz Żal and there is a slight chance he could spoil. The two black and white foreign language films are going head to head in three categories but prevailing wisdom puts Roma and Cuarón ahead.
1. ROMA – Alfonso Cuarón (BAFTA, BFCA)
2. COLD WAR – Łukasz Żal (ASC)
3. THE FAVOURITE – Robbie Ryan
4. A STAR IS BORN – Matthew Libatique
5. NEVER LOOK AWAY – Caleb Deschanel
ASC – American Society of Cinematographers
BAFTA – British Film Academy Awards
BFCA – Broadcast Film Critics Association (Critics Choice)
