Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) directs the English-language remake Mexico’s 2011 Oscar submission for the Best Foreign Language Film.

Miss Bala was written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer also stars Ismael Cruz Córdova, Anthony Mackie and Matt Lauria. It is produced by Kevin Misher of Misher Films and Pablo Cruz of Canana Films.
